Winters in Colorado typically mean lots of snow, but with a good amount of sunshine. In the mountains you can expect large amounts of snow with some mountain passes being closed. Depending on the exact region, highs can be in the 20s-30s and lows in the single digits. This means that layers are absolutely necessary and breaks to warm up by the fireplace are welcomed!
Eloping in Colorado in the winter may be an awesome idea if you love frozen lakes, snowshoeing or skiing, or the solitude on trails that are normally swarming with tourists in the warmer months.

Spring in Colorado doesn’t look like the typical Spring in other parts of the country, and it’s highly unpredictable. One day it may be warm without a cloud in sight and the next there may be multiple feet of snow on the ground, and then that snow can be melted within 24 hours- it’s crazy! In some places in Colorado, May is the snowiest month of the year.
Temperatures do start to warm up and the waterfalls may be flowing so it is still an incredible time to elope in Colorado. Just be prepared for all weather scenarios!

Summer is by far the most popular time to visit and elope in Colorado. Some mountains may still have snow, but most of the state won’t get many more snowstorms. Instead, you can expect almost daily rainstorms, often referred to as monsoons. These are typically short spurts of rain that come and go quickly, so don’t be too worried about them!
We love summer elopement in Colorado because the mountains are open for hiking, the wildflowers come out, and it’s just absolutely gorgeous.

Can we bring our friends and family to our elopement? (And our pups too?)
Yes! We suggest keeping your guest count under 20 but we can absolutely help find locations that are not only
beautiful, but accessible for all of your guests. Dogs are always welcome as long as you choose a location that's

What happens if there is bad weather?
We are huge advocates of the mentality: "There's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes & a bad
attitude". That means we try to be as prepared as possible by having backup plans and watching weather

How much do we have to hike on our elopement day?
We can hike as little or as much as you want to. Some locations require minimal hiking (great for
bringing family!), while others require more. We work with you to only suggest locations that fit with
