“I’m thinking I want to propose at the beginning of the shoot and try and do something where I surprise her”

When I read these words while emailing back and forth with Brandon regarding an adventure session my heart just about BURST. Marriage proposals are such a sweet and exciting thing and I have always wanted to be able to capture one!! We got all of the details together and bam, we had a plan! Fast forward to the day of the session and I was NERVOUS. I wanted everything to be perfect, and alas nothing really went to plan, haha! I got stuck behind a car accident on the way to the shoot, but thankfully I still arrived on time. Brandon and I had already discussed which outfit, what location, and what prompt the proposal would take place in order for him to know to cue. The moment came and….. nothing happened. I was SO CONFUSED AND STRESSED haha! I played it off and got right back into giving prompts and poses until it was time for them to change outfits. While Bree was changing I was like Brandon?? What happened?? He said that he couldn’t get the ring out of his pocket. Luckily we still had plenty of time and good lighting so we quickly made a new plan. The moment finally came and Bree was SO SURPRISED. I’m pretty sure she was in complete shock!! We spent the rest of the evening reminiscing and on cloud 9! I had the best time getting to know these two beautiful people and capturing such an amazing moment in their lives!!
