Raynee and Patrick’s Mt. Rainier elopement was the perfect, cozy adventure for them and their closest friends and family. It was the perfect weekend. Raynee and Patrick had moved abroad a few years before, so this was an amazing opportunity to have all of their loved ones in one place. It was special to have been able to photograph all of the precious memories that were made during their weekend wedding adventure right outside Mt. Rainier National Park.
Raynee and Patrick choose to have their wedding right outside Mt. Rainier National Park at Copper Creek Inn. They choose this as their wedding location so they could have all of their friends and family stay in the cabins, making it a homebase for all of their adventures. Throughout the entire weekend they were able to share meals, go on hikes, and explore all that the park has to offer- they even got blessed with beautiful sunny weather the entire weekend!
Patrick and Raynee wanted to have an intimate first look in the woods before their wedding ceremony and so they chose to get ready in separate log cabins. There was music being played, dances, and some tears as presents were exchanged. This is one beautiful thing about choosing to elope with family- because you can have an intentionally intimate wedding day without sacrificing memories being made.
One of the most intimate parts of Raynee and Patrick’s wedding day was their private first look in the woods. Both of them were filled with anticipation, and it was so sweet to see their reactions to seeing each other for the first time wearing their wedding attire. The first thing they did after their first look was take a walk down to the creek. I always encourage couples to find these sweet, intimate moments on their wedding day. Luckily, by choosing to have an elopement, those moments came all throughout this Mt. Rainier elopement.
Their ceremony took place amongst the tallest, moss covered trees. Raynee’s brother strummed a guitar in the background, family members took turns reading off passages, and they both exchanged the sweetest vows. There wasn’t a dry eye in the audience. After the ceremony, Raynee and Patrick took time to themselves for an adventure in the forest. We all couldn’t believe the beauty that surrounded us! Mount Rainier is truly the perfect spot to elope if you are a nature lover. The trees, the sound of the creek in the distance, and the always looming rain clouds. After their adventure it was time for their celebration with their closest friends and family. They shared a meal together, danced together, and ate Raynee’s specially made pies- these pies were UNREAL. Everyone couldn’t help but go for leftovers. The night consisted of the family taking turns sharing stories from their childhood, sharing s’mores by the campfire, and dancing. It was the perfect adventure, and the perfect way for Raynee and Patrick to begin their married life.
