Flagstaff, Arizona is one the most underrated places to elope at in Arizona!! If you love lush forests, beautiful mountain views, and aspen groves then you are going to fall in love with this adventurous hiking elopement in Flagstaff! I had the best time exploring this mountain with Carson, Mitchell, and their two adorable pups.

Hiking Elopement in Flagstaff, AZ

We started off with a hike through the forest to make it to a gorgeous mountain basin. This hike is a big elevation climb so we were all pretty out of breath but it was SO. WORTH IT. Carson and Mitchell’s pups were the best companions and also had the best time on this hike. One of the best parts about hiking elopements is that it’s an adventure that feels like you! You can wear your trusty hiking boots, you comfiest day pack (with a bouquet stuffed in it), and bring your dog companions too. It’s the best!

One of my favorite parts about this elopement in Flagstaff is that we had this whole mountain to ourselves!! We had free range to hike around this beautiful meadow and take in the gorgeous mountain views. There were wildflowers everywhere, which perfectly matched Carson’s dress!! How perfect, right? Who else is in love with that dainty floral overlay!! If you’re as obsessed with her dress as I am, check out this dress on Etsy with a similar floral pattern! Carson’s exact dress was handmade, but you can find something similar on Etsy. I also loved her beautiful bouquet by Sutcliffe Florals. It looked like it was picked right from the forest. My favorite part about it was the real mint leaves making it smell so nice and fresh. What an amazing touch!

After exploring the mountain basin with their pups, we made our way back down into the most gorgeous aspen grove. A summer elopement in Flagstaff means GREEN, luscious, wildflower filled forests. This same location is also beyond gorgeous in October when the leaves are bright gold so hey you’re obsessed with fall and want to elope here, hit me up!

We ended off this adventurous hiking elopement at a little pond that has the best views of the mountains. It was so magical as the sun was starting to set. It was seriously the best way to end off this Flagstaff elopement!!
