This late October wedding day was unforgettable for our team for a few reasons. The first being this sweet couple who came all the way from Louisiana to get married here in the red rocks! Seriously, we had the BEST time with these two and can’t wait to meet up with them again in the future for some drinks & hopefully a concert! The second reason being their guests! They were all troupers dealing with some cooler weather since they are used to the south. And lastly, the feel of the entire day. It was the perfect blend of adventure, yet laid back, and great quality time with just each other as well as their guests!
Autumn is a popular time, especially October, to get married here in Arizona! Most people from out of town don’t know that yes we DO experience fall here in the desert! The leaves start to change in the northern part of the state (and even some parts of Sedona) starting at the beginning of October. The weather is typically super comfortable- think anywhere from the high 60s to the low 80s. Sabrina and Jared love Halloween and all things spooky so they chose their date to land right around Sedona’s day of the dead festival!
Pro Elopement Tip:
Each month in the autumn season offers different pros and cons for each couple! Stick to end of September if you aren’t afraid of possibly warmer days (80s). Choose October if you want fall colors and mild, more predictable weather. Pick November if you want to see golden leaves in the heart of Sedona and if you don’t mind cooler temperatures.
As mentioned earlier, this couple chose to include their immediate family on their elopement day and we loved it! We absolutely love getting to meet and hang out with the guests our couples choose to invite. We know how special they mean to our couples if they made the cut!!
The couple chose this easily accessible, yet absolutely beautiful ceremony location that is perfect for elopements with family! We always love doing elopements at this location- you cannot beat these views!
Pro Elopement Tip:
Include two different elopement locations on your day if you’re bringing guests. One location that fits the accessibility needs of your family. The second location can be the one you adventure the way you’ve dreamed of!
After their ceremony we explored a couple of the best trails in town. The couple hiked to some epic (yet windy 😂) vistas, shared some craft beer, told us all about their experience starting to run ultra marathons, and so of course we had to try out running in their wedding clothes! We bonded over traveling and concerts and can’t wait to make a red rocks concert happen in the future!
We hope y’all love this gallery and film as much as we did creating them! I’m obsessed with the story that their images told of their gorgeous fall elopement in Sedona!
