Lucy & Kristen’s Sedona Wedding

Lucy and Kristen’s Sedona wedding in the red rocks was a laid back, yet adventurous experience. These two came all the way from Indiana to see the red rocks together and start their marriage off with an adventure, since their whole relationship was full of them. We explored a red rock mountain and ended the day with their first dance at sunset. It was absolutely breathtaking!

Their Wedding Day

Lucy and Kristen reached out to me with the original plans of having an adventure in Iceland. Due to COVID19, we all had to change our plans with only a month’s notice and these two decided to change their trip to the desert of Arizona. While it didn’t look quite the same as Iceland it was still absolutely epic!

One of the best parts of getting married in Sedona, Arizona is that you don’t have to go far to see beautiful views of the red rocks. Believe it or not, we didn’t have to hike more than 1 mile to have one of the most scenic views of all of Sedona. The desert can offer any sort of adventure for any skill level. Here are some of my favorite hikes that Sedona has to offer!

The Adventure

When planning their adventure in Iceland we had talked about exploring waterfalls and glaciers, but their Sedona trip included the opposite with solid red rock mountains and cacti. Lucy and Kristen were such troopers with the change of plans and made the most out of their trip in the heat!

Lucy and Kristen wore BHLDN dresses made out of the same tulle material to compliment each other and rocked Converse for their hike. Another little detail that I love was their complimentary wedding rings. These two are beautiful souls that are absolutely meant for each other!

We explored all around this epic red rock mountain for the afternoon and concluded the evening with their first dance. The way that the Sedona red mountains illuminate at sunset is enough to make anyone fall in love with the town.
