Lindsay and Jeremy’s micro wedding in Sedona was absolute perfection! They invited their immediate family to join them in the red rocks for their ceremony before they headed off for a sunset hiking adventure. We loved how their day was the best blend of creating memories with loved ones as well as intimate time with each other taking in the epic landscape of Sedona! We had the best time being able to help plan and document their day!
Every wedding professional has a different definition of micro wedding. For us here at Wilder West we consider anything below 30 people a micro wedding! We use the terms elopements and micro weddings interchangeably. For us, the biggest difference is that elopements don’t have set venues while micro weddings may have one!
Hello!! We are the Wilder West Team! We are a husband and wife photo video team based in sunny Sedona, Arizona. Caitlyn is the lead photographer and your personal elopement guide aka elopement wizard, question-answerer, location scouter, and designated hype woman. Chad is the lead videographer who you can expect to supply all the dad jokes, carrier of the Mary Poppins backpack, and mountain goat to get all the rad shots! We’ve been lucky enough to call this place our home for the past 5 years, going on 250+ adventures with couples from all over the world.
We’d love to show you around our home & help you plan your dream Sedona elopement experience.
We believe that all couples deserve to have an adventurous and meaningful wedding experience that reflects them and their love. We work together to design your “best day” from start to finish. We can’t wait to hear all about what you are dreaming for your elopement experience so we can work together to make it happen seamlessly and care free.
Some locations may require that you have a venue to accommodate your guests for your micro wedding. Some wedding venues offer packages specifically for smaller micro weddings. We’ve seen more couples use a private residence or VRBO to host their small weddings!
In Sedona you can have up to 25 people on a trail without a specific permit (as of 2025). It can be difficult to find a spot on a trail that can accommodate larger groups while also respecting leave no trace principles.
We help give specific location recommendations based on your guest’s specific needs! We know of a handful of locations that work well with larger groups (still must be below 25 guests).
Some couples love to book an estate or private residence to host their microwedding if they want more accessibility or accommodations such as parking and bathrooms. It’s also a great option to be able to host your wedding dinner and reception instead of going to a restaurant.
Most restaurants in Sedona do not allow for larger group reservations without booking a private room. My exclusive Guide to Sedona tells my couples which restaurants allow for larger groups!
Here are some of our favorite private residences in Sedona to host your micro weddings:
Not sure which season to have your micro wedding in Sedona? Check out this blog post to find your perfect date for your day!
Spring is one of the best times to get married in Sedona! March is the biggest toss up when it comes to weather so be prepared for possible rain, snow, or cooler temperatures if you pick that month. It is also the busiest for traffic due to spring break season!
April and May are the BEST in Sedona! You can expect the weather to range from the mid 60s to the 80s. May is wildflower season and the least busiest of the months so it’s my personal favorite for spring elopements and weddings. Be prepared for possible windy days and make sure you allot time to enjoy the sunset.
