Nicole & Ryan
This day freaking ROCKED. Nicole and Ryan’s intimate wedding in the desert of Phoenix, Arizona was seriously TO. DIE. FOR!! This elopement in the desert was filled with some beautiful love and beautiful views- what more could a wedding photographer ask for!?
Nicole and Ryan are one of the lucky ones that met while online dating and immediately hit it off from their first date. They knew they weren’t meant for each other after experiencing love, loss, and adventure together. They are avid travelers, coffee lovers, and they have the cutest cats in the world! I was able to get to know them during their in-home engagement session. It was the perfect opportunity to get to know their style, their interests (including some awesome music taste!!), and more about their love! We totally hit it off from the beginning, and I knew that shooting their wedding was going to be AMAZING.
When Nicole and Ryan first booked me, they said they wanted the landscape to do the talking for their wedding pictures, which is soooo important to me as a wedding photographer!! I seriously love showing off this beautiful earth, and I love that they wanted the same thing for their wedding photos! Now let’s talk about all of the amazingness from this day!!
Nicole and Ryan had their intimate desert wedding at the beautiful Superstition Mountains which are about 45 minutes east of Phoenix, AZ! They had the most beautiful set up and coordination done by Cloth & Flameat their location near the Peralta Trail. I loved the family styled table set up which made the whole experience feel much more intimate. Nicole made adorable succulent wedding favors and I have somehow still kept mine still alive, haha! Anybody else seriously STRUGGLE with keeping plants alive!?
Nicole wore a beautiful gown from BHLDN with very simple makeup and jewelry. I absolutely loved the floral design and how elegant it was! Ryan wore a dark blue suit paired with his super cool sunglasses all day (seriously I had to ask him all day long to take them off for photos hahaha). Dark blue suits are such a great option if you want a darker suit, but not something quit as stark as black!
After Nicole and Ryan’s sweet first look, it was finally time for them to get hitched! They had a short and sweet ceremony with just their closest friends and family in attendance! I absolutely loved the intimacy of the whole wedding!! It was stress free, absolutely beautiful, and everything both of them wanted- which is what matters the most!
While Nicole and Ryan got to enjoy their gourmet dinner (yeah Cloth & Flame doesn’t play games their food is soooo good!) I walked around the beautiful site to scout for some photo sites! We were able to catch the most beautiful golden lighting as well as blue hour to give them an awesome variety of photos! The night ended with eating some very yummy lavender lemon cake and sitting by the campfire underneath the stars. It was the most magical desert wedding ever!!
Thank you endlessly to this couple for asking me to capture this BEAUTIFUL day! I am forever grateful for adventurous couples who seriously love each other and nature.
